Learn About Our Company and Staff

David Ervin and Mary Ervin Holterhoff are a brother-sister team and love what they accomplish in designing kitchens. David is also owner of Clifton Homes, Inc., a General Contractor of 21 years in the Langhorne, Pennsylvania area. UPtown is a result of the many demands on Clifton Homes, Inc. for new kitchens and kitchen remodels. Their philosophy is simple, they stand behind their workmanship and the products they sell.

Significant Trends in Kitchen Design

Keeping current on trends is the number one design goal David and Mary share. Through their affiliation with the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), they stay abreast of the newest style offerings in everything related to kitchen design. They enjoy attending the kitchen and bath industry shows and learn all they can to keep customers aware of new products and improvements to older tried and true kitchen equipment.

Customer focus today is quality, function, and performance, and once again, we believe Rich Maid sets the standard for this requirement. Kitchen design involves the consideration of the entire family because of the technological needs of each member of the family. UPtown Kitchens is thorough in planning designs for the lifestyles of the customer, so that at the end of the project, the family’s living style is greatly enhanced. Some of our customers tell us they enjoy being in their kitchen again! They also point out that their children seem to be involved more in family interactions, and that is a good thing for everyone.

UPtown Kitchens watches trends, analyzes and utilizes some of the better ideas. Our length and breadth of experience assures customers of the best aspects of kitchen design. Much of the meaning of what “trends” really gives the customer is what we refer to as “classic” design. Design has to feel good, perform and endure usage over time.

Following are some of the features we utilize in most of our designs:

  • Air switch for disposal start
  • Recycling containers
  • Wall cabinetry with drawers
